Iphone 4 estimated delivery time

Hi, I ordered iphone 4 last week. On a product page there was information, that it will be available on July 30. On order tracking page I got estimated delivery time around August 4.

Yesterday I checked order status and to my surprise estimated delivery time changed to 55 days, on product page availability of the product is still July 30. What does that mean? Is it a mistake in system?

The delay is from Apple, there is no avilable stock at the moment.

You said in other posts that  you were getting these off a 3rd party and not directly from Apple! My guess is that your 3rd party supplier is not reliable. This is the 2nd time the date has been pushed back! at first it was 2 weeks, when it went to 1 week it was pushed back to 3 weeks. Now again that it was 5 days i went back to 49 days!

Please go on and cancel my order! will be looking elsewhere!

Yes, we are getting them from a 3rd party, but the stock is still coming from Apple.

And there is no free stock avilable at the moment.

I understand your fustration, but this is something that is out of our control.

Trust me, I would rather supply the phone then cancel the order.

As requested, I have cancelled your order.

Is there something else you can do? Try a different supplier or go directly to apple for it? (although I guess the later is the most difficult).

Is there any chance that the supplier will get them sooner? The order was made in the beginning of July. Hopefully this is the last delay.

 Thanks in advance

Even if eXpansys could purchase directly from Apple, what difference would it make?

They're already having enough difficulty stocking the unlocked handsets themselves for sale via their own site(s) and in their own stores.
And come Friday when they launch the iPhone4 in 17 new countries, not to mention starting to supply two more networks in the UK alone, it's going to become even harder for any one company to get stock - especially of something as elusive as an unlocked iPhone.

Delay again and again, I think it will be faster if we can buy from Apple site by ourselves.

Please help to cancel all my order, just let the chance for others. Thanks.

@Ibrahim: what are next weeks lottery numbers?
The only way eXpansys' supplier can guarantee delivery is if they already have stock and if that were the case, the phones would be arriving a heck of a lot sooner than mid-September.

As stated in the FAQs, for the most up-to-date delivery information, you should contact your local Sales Office.
To that end, I'm locking this thread.
